Ashley was drawn to professional dog grooming for its creative side and the opportunity to help pets maintain healthy skin and coats. “It’s more than just a job—I make a difference in dogs’ lives by keeping them happy, healthy, and clean,” she says.

While Yorkies are her favorite, Ashley enjoys working with all breeds and the unique challenges they bring. Her goal is to help Olive & Company become a trusted name in Katy, Fulshear, and Brookshire while educating owners on the important role they play in their dogs’ care.

Brenda has been in the grooming business five years.

What started off as a week-long situation in order to help out groomers at her prior job then turned into a

professional career path.

“My favorite part of the job is getting to see pet parents’ happy reactions to seeing their freshly groomed dogs

and the excitement their pets show all of us,” Brenda says. “It might seem a little different, but pets really do

enjoy their grooming time and don’t mind showing off some.”

Her professional goal “to continue learning more about the grooming industry, improving her skills, and

continue building meaningful relationships with both my clients and peers,” she adds.

I feel incredibly lucky to work here—sometimes I have to pinch myself to be sure I’m not dreaming. When your dog stays with us for daycare or boarding, my top priority is making sure they feel loved, clean, and cared for every step of the way.

I was raised in a family that rescued and rehomed dozens of dogs, so working with families who truly value their pets’ well-being is a privilege. We give every boarding dog 6–7 play periods daily, including both one-on-one time and play with compatible pups.

We never “kennel and forget.” Your dogs are treated like family. In addition to attentive care, I specialize in bathing and deshedding treatments to help keep your pup comfortable, healthy, and looking their best.

 When Lauren became fully committed to pet grooming in her years at Old Town Animal Hospital in Katy, it

was Veronica who mentored and helped her develop the skills and experience needed to achieve excellence in

the field. Like all of those who now work at Olive & Company Pet Spa and Retreat, the love of animals is the foundation of

their careers.

When younger, Veronica worked in an animal humane organization in New Mexico before pursing grooming as

a career. While she has a favorite breed of dog to groom – miniature schnauzers – she generally focuses on the

full range of smaller breed dogs.

There are two key dedications to which Lauren can personally attest about Veronica that makes her such a

valuable part of the business. Says Veronica: “I love getting to know the clients and relating to them on a

personal basis. My vision is to be fully supportive of my coworkers in any way that helps them better

understand the needs of the pets who come to our business for care.”
