Hi, I’m Lauren, the owner of Olive & Company Pet Spa & Retreat. My love for dogs has always gone far beyond “just pets”—to me, they’re family, and that belief is the foundation of everything we do here.

I began my professional journey working with animals at just 15 years old, gaining hands-on experience at some of the largest boarding facilities and veterinary clinics in West Houston. Those early years shaped my understanding of canine care, behavior, safety, and the importance of treating every dog with patience and respect.

At 18, I furthered my passion by attending Golden Paws Grooming School, where I honed my skills and deepened my commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate grooming services. Combining my background in boarding, veterinary environments, and professional grooming allowed me to create Olive & Company as a place where dogs receive well-rounded, thoughtful care at every level.

I’m deeply hands-on with daily operations and take pride in building lasting relationships with both our clients and their dogs. Creating a calm, safe, and luxury-level experience—where pups feel comfortable and owners feel confident—has always been my vision.

Olive isn’t just our logo or a name on the door — she’s the heart behind Olive & Company.

Olive is our French Bulldog and our very first family dog that our kids truly grew up with and remember. She has been by our side through so many seasons of life and holds an incredibly special place in our family.

In April of 2024, we discovered a lump on Olive that was cancerous. She became very sick, and our world stopped. What followed were multiple surgeries, countless vet visits, endless prayers, and a whole lot of hope. Against the odds, Olive made a full recovery — a journey that forever changed us and deepened our appreciation for the love, resilience, and joy dogs bring into our lives.

Today, Olive spends her days exactly how a dog should — at doggy daycare, playing with all of her friends, soaking up love, and reminding us daily why we do what we do.

Naming the business after Olive felt like the only choice. She represents everything we believe in: unconditional love, second chances, perseverance, and treating every dog like family.

And of course, Olive isn’t alone — she has a brother, Toby, a sweet rescue who is a poodle and dachshund mix. Together, they are the inspiration behind the “& Company,” because here, every dog is part of the family.
